David Franklin Holderfield 89, passed away on May 12, 2023 peacefully in his home.

David served in the Army of the United States from September 2, 1954, to August 31, 1956. Shortly thereafter, he married the love of his life, Barbara Matthews Holderfield on August 30, 1957.

David was a lifelong member of Caraleigh Baptist Church where he worshipped regularly and served as a Deacon.

After retiring from 30 years of service with NC State University Graphics, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family.

David is survived by his wife, Barbara Matthews Holderfield, his Daughter Kimberly Holderfield Seibel and her husband Jimmy Seibel, his daughter-in-law Kim Ward Holderfield, his granddaughter Natalie Seibel Kaelin and her husband Jared Kaelin, his grandson Jesse Holderfield, and his great-granddaughter Averie Holderfield. He was preceded in death by his son Davey Warren Holderfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Caraleigh Baptist Church.

David's kindness and gentle soul will be missed dearly by family and friends.
