It is with deep sadness to report our friend David Morgan recently passed away while a patient at WakeMed Main Hospital, Raleigh, N.C. this past 7 August, 2025. He shall be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and professional colleagues. David is survived by his former Wife: Lisa Ann Morgan, his cousin Brenda, nephews, nieces and other cousins.
David was the third son born to Gertrude Ray-Morgan, a wonderful Mother and loving wife to her husband Julius Seaton Morgan, and family of three sons.
David was preceded in death by immediate family members:
Julius Seaton Morgan, Father, 1993, age 82
Robert "Bobby" Ray Morgan, Brother, 2007, age 66
Gertrude Ray Morgan, Mother, 2019, age 102
Victor "Vic" E. Morgan, Brother, 2023, age 77
David was a life long resident of Raleigh, NC. He grew up in the Belvidere Park-Woodcrest neighborhoods north of Old Raleigh downtown. He attended Public Schools at: Emma Conn Elementary, Hugh Morson Jr. High and W.G. Enloe Senior High School. David later studied Industrial Manufacturing and Criminal Justice at Wake Community College.
He served as a Police Officer with the Apex and Fuquay Police Departments (Wake County) for many years. David also worked in various manufacturing industries including Lufkin Tool & Die-Cooper Tools, Inc. of Wake County. His career also included employment as an insurance-financial services agent for various companies including American Automobile Assoc. and MetLife. He was a NASCAR enthusiast; loved and owned various American made muscle cars of the 60s, 70s and 80s. He enjoyed freshwater reeling for bass and crappie. Kure Beach Fishing Pier was his favorite ocean fishing hangout, Kure Beach N.C. David was everyone's friend.
We wish to thank the many individuals who have supported and assisted David these past years, including Lisa Ann Morgan (former wife), Cousin Brenda, neighbors, Hospice, and friends Tim Kinlaw and Curtis Barlow.
Rest in Peace Old Friend.
