David Mark Rudd from Raleigh, N.C., age 65, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023, after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born in Raleigh on October 13, 1957 to the late Frank Thomas and Jeanine Sidbury Rudd. David crafted a career as a telecommunications engineer. His career spanned for 30 years with Carolina Power & Light Company and Duke Power Company before retiring. David played a critical role in the call center creation as well as, in the telecommunications business. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed spending time with his family, and was known as the Mr. Fix-it Man! He is survived by his loving devoted wife, Ann Cottle Rudd of Raleigh, N.C.; sons, Lee Thomas Rudd of Garner, N.C. and Kyle Taylor Rudd (Melanie Mullins, fiancé) of Erwin, N.C.; a sister, Denise Rudd of Garner, N.C. and a brother Tommy Rudd (Janis) of Katy, Texas. He is also survived by three beloved grandchildren, Alec, Presleigh and Zoey. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15 in the Chapel of Montlawn Funeral Home in Raleigh, N.C. The family will visit with friends following the service. A
