David Hugh Strother (Dave/Pops), 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025. He was at his home in Raleigh, NC and was surrounded by love from his family.

David served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, and then went on to have a successful career in sales. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and uncle, and a great friend to many throughout his life. He will always be remembered for his wonderful stories, funny jokes, poker playing, love for golf, friendly and welcoming nature, and for just being an all-around great guy.

David was truly loved and will be missed by his family, including his wife of 57 years, Christine; his son Michael (wife Christy) and daughter Jennifer (husband Leigh); his grandchildren, Conner, Jake, Claire, Colton and Luke; and other extended family members.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC, 27603.
