Obituary

Dawn Campbell Sease, 80, formerly of Greenwood, died peacefully Thursday, June 13 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Apex, NC.
Born in Clinton, March 28, 1939, she was the wife of the late James W. "Bill" Sease and was the daughter of the late Joe and Maggie Campbell. She retired as a longtime realtor. A member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, she was a member of the Charles Poore Sunday School Class, sang in the church choir and served on various committees within the church. She had a special love for children and directed the children's choir for a short time.

Survivors include her three daughters, Lisa (Clay) Scott of Stow, MA, Mary Margaret (Dale) Mathis of Tulsa, OK and Sonya (Bob) Hennessy of Apex, NC; six grandchildren, Megan (Alex) Guess of Raleigh, NC, Austin (Ashley) Scott of Charlotte, NC, Morgan (James) Williams of Owasso, OK, Josh (Mollie) Mathis of Auburn, AL, Maggie (Jonathan) Pierce and James (Rachel) Hennessy, all of Holly Springs, NC; six great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters. She is predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence and James Lee Campbell and a sister, Betty Anne Meadors.


A Celebration of Life will be held at 10AM Saturday, June 29 at St. Mark United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 550 Hwy. 72 ByPass NW, Greenwood, SC 29649.
