With deep love and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Deborah Denise Tucker, who entered eternal rest on November 12, 2025. Deborah was born on December 28, 1962, in Anchorage, Alaska, to James and Juanita Collins. From the very beginning, she carried a gentle strength and warm spirit that shaped the lives of everyone blessed to know her.

Deborah's life was guided by excellence, determination, and a love for learning. She was a proud 1980 graduate of Westover High School, continued her education at Fayetteville State University, graduating in 1985, and later earned her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Arts (Summa Cum Laude) from Stevens-Henager College in 2014.

For 30 years, Deborah dedicated her professional life to the North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services, serving with integrity, compassion, and dignity. Known for her kindness, professionalism, and calm presence, she touched countless lives throughout her career.

Deborah cherished her family deeply. She shared 22 beautiful years with her devoted husband, Alvin Bray Tucker. She is also survived by her loving mother, Juanita Collins; her brother, Anthony Collins; and her sister, Nina Williams, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Collins, Jr., and her brother, Michael Collins.

Deborah's life was defined by compassion, dignity, and quiet strength. Her light will continue to shine through the love she shared and the lives she touched.
