Obituary of Diane Connors

Diane Payne Connors, 64, of Cary, passed away Monday afternoon, October 22, 2012 at the William Dunlap Hospice Center.

A Service of Remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 221 Union Street, Cary, NC. Interment will follow at Wake Memorial Park in Cary.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

A native of Lexington, KY, Diane was born June 11, 1948, the daughter of the late Sadie Hammond Payne and Gerald Francis Payne. After living in Boulder, Co for a number of years, she moved to Raleigh in 1986 to be closer to her family which was the center of her life. Diane was a devoted wife, loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister.

Diane is survived by her daughters, Krista Connors and her fianc, Brooks Savage; Tracy Connors Hobbs and her husband, Brian, all of Raleigh; son, Jeff Connors and his wife, Cathy, of Cary; grandchildren, Emily Driver, Brenna Diane Connors, Avery Hobbs and Nolan Hobbs; brothers, Mike Payne and his wife Melba, Pat Payne and his wife Peggy, Ricky Payne and his wife, Karry, all of Lexington, KY. Diane was preceded in death by her husband, David Russell Connors, son, Christopher Connors and her brother, Gerald F. Payne, Jr.
