IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald "Don"
M. Annas
April 21, 1945 – August 9, 2019
Donald Max "Don" Annas died peacefully on August 9, 2019. Don was born April 21, 1945. He is preceded in death by his parents Donald Hughes Annas and Ola Mae Annas. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Annas, daughter Tina Walton (Tim), sons; David Annas (Paula) and Darrell Annas (Shannon), grandchildren: Lyda, Jake, Caitlin, Victoria, Kylie (Moe), Kevin, Kayden and Kinsley; brother Dennis Keith Annas (Gwen) as well as several nieces and nephews.
Don was very active during his 74 years. He worked at IBM for 43 years before he retired on August 7, 2006. Don was involved with the North Carolina MG Car Club (NCMGCC) for 30 years and received multiple awards for his support of the car club. Since 1985, Don was a strong Wolfpack supporter and started Don's Tailgate Club which has been featured on the local news and Wolfpack publications for their tailgating setup, fan support and chili cook-offs.
Don loved the Lord and you could find him every morning reading the Bible and watching the birds. He had a huge heart and often put others before himself. To know him was to love him and he will be missed dearly.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 13th from 6:00 - 8:00PM at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603. The Funeral will be Wednesday, August 14th at 10:00AM at the First Baptist Church of Garner, 601 Saint Mary's St, Garner, NC.
At Don's request, dress at both events will be casual. He also asked those affiliated with Don's Tailgate Club and NCSU fans to wear N.C. State apparel and those associated with the NCMGCC to wear their favorite car club shirt.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Don Annas.
