Donald Paul Sadler (Paul), age 61, of Vicksburg, MS went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 13th, 2020 at WakeMed Hospital in Cary, NC. He was born on August 15, 1959 in Vicksburg, MS. After surviving cancer 3x, the 4th recurrence while also fighting COVID-19 was the cause of death.

Paul attended the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated with a Bachelors of Computer Science degree and spent his career as a computer software test engineer in the innovative and growing computer industry. Paul ran his first marathon in the spring of 1978. He always had an adventurous spirit and thoroughly enjoyed hiking to waterfalls, white water rafting, and discovering new places. He also had a passion for the Lord, and his faith was unwavering from the time he became a follower of Christ in 1979. On July 30, 1983, Paul married his beautiful bride and best friend, Becky. After 8 years of marriage, they brought their firstborn, Lauren (age 28) into the world. They then went on to have 3 more children; Kristen (age 26), Jonathan (age 23), and Josiah (age 18.)  He was a family man and always loved to participate in his children's activities. From the sidelines he and Becky watched all 4 children play soccer and other various sports. Apart from spending time with his wife & 4 children, Paul enjoyed writing & his writing has greatly impacted his family and friends.

Paul was predeceased by both parents; Edward L. Sadler and Jessie P. Sadler

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Rebecca Knight Sadler (Becky) of Collins, Mississippi; his two daughters Lauren E. Sadler and Kristen M. Ross (Krissy); his two sons Jonathan S. Sadler and David J. Sadler (Josiah), and his two brothers Brent Sadler and Randy Sadler.

Paul's visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm on Monday, December 28, 2020 followed by a memorial service from 1:00pm-2:30pm at New Bethel Church located at 1110 Buck Jones road Raleigh, NC 27606 with Rev. Chris Ellis officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm at Montlawn Memorial Park located at at 2911 S. Wilmington street Raleigh, NC 27603

The family requests for any flower arrangements to be sent to the Montlawn funeral home.
