Donald LeRoy Stevens, 65, died unexpectedly at his residence on Monday evening.

He was a superintendent with Clancy and Theys Construction Co. having been employed for over 32 years. Donald received a BS Degree from Mars Hill College. He was an avid sports fan who attended NCSU football games. Donald was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Ann Stevens; son, Brad Stevens of Cedar Park, TX; brothers, Doug Stevens and Darrell Stevens and wife Joyce of Andrews, Dennis Stevens of Blairsville, GA and Richard Stevens and wife Shirley of Duck Town, TN; grandchildren, Kierstin Stevens of Cedar Park, TX, Ryan Cepeda of Raleigh, NC, Jailyn Cepeda of Milford, PA and Araon Ulloa of Hillard, OH; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Stevens.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Friday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3131 RDU Center Dr., Morrisville, NC 27560.
