Doris Ann Ellsworth, age 80, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021.She was born in Omro Township, Winnebago County, Wisconsin on November 27, 1940  to David Thayer Stott and Emma Oelrich Stott.  She was preceded in death by both parents, her sister, Gayl Stott Northup and her husband of 28 years, John Howard Ellsworth.

Doris graduated from Anoka High School (Anoka, Minnesota) in 1958.  She  attended Northwestern Hospital School of Nursing (Minneapolis, Minnesota), graduating in 1961.  She passed all applicable tests and qualifications earning the title of Registered Nurse.  She worked as an RN at Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, Minnesota; St. Mary's Hospital, London, England; US Army Hospital, Nuremberg, Germany; The American Red Cross; George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC and Children's Hospital, Washington, DC.

Doris leaves to cherish her memory:  Her sister, Eileen Stott of Raleigh, NC; a nephew, John Stott of St. Petersburg, FL and a great-niece, Rachel Stott of Plainfield, NJ.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603 followed by a chapel service at noon and interment at Montlawn Cemetery.
