Obituary of Doris Johnson

Doris Swinson Johnson, 78, of Raleigh, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Rex Hospital.

Born February 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Horace Grey Swinson and Bessie Lee Sullivan.

Doris is survived by her loving husband of 59 years and 10 months, William James Johnson; son, Lewis Johnson; daughters, Terri McCreary, Kim Creech and her husband Barry; a special niece that she considered her first born, Prunelli Watson-Love; grandchildren, Becky, Cameron, Grey, Brittany, Jake, Heather, and Joey; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Renfrow and her husband Roy; a brother, Albert Sullivan; and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Danny Johnson. The burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 1-2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
