Obituary of Doris Shaw

Doris Maxine Shaw died on May 1, 2014 in Cary, North Carolina surrounded by her family. She was born on September 11, 1925 in Clare County, Michigan to Aaron Thomas Carrow and Ellen Robart.

Doris married Willard Eugene Shaw in 1953. She was a loving wife and mother who focused on family and home in support of her husband's Air Force career. She was involved in numerous activities, including her church, garden club, and ROWC. She also enjoyed painting and sewing. She and Willard traveled throughout the United States and Europe. They retired to Winter Park, Florida where they lived for over forty years.

Surviving are three children; Wallace Grant and wife Barbara, daughter, Linda Cullip and husband Tim, and son Willard Shaw Jr. and wife Michelle; nine grandchildren, Sean Grant, Aaron Grant, Seth Shaw, Jeremy Thompson, Jennifer Cullip, Brian Cullip, Aimee Shaw, Lacey Shaw, and Gaurre Shaw; three great-grandchildren, Timothy Grant, Amanda Grant, and Gabriel Cullip; her brother Joe Carrow and wife Yonda; several nieces and nephews and two cousins.

Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery.

She was greatly loved by her family and will be missed by all who mourn her passing.
