Obituary of Doris Tyler

Mrs. Doris Paxton Tyler, 80, of Raleigh, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 22, 2009.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Montlawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating the service will be Reverend David Frye and Reverend Gene Schuyler of Raleigh.

Doris will be remembered with great love and respect. She was born in Vinton, Virginia on April 24, 1929 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Paxton of Virginia.

Doris is survived by her husband, James L. Tyler; daughter, Sheryl Wood of Raleigh, and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Edward (Butch) Robertson of Raleigh, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Robertson of Orlando, Florida, and step daughter, Kristie Ford and her husband, Chris of Raleigh. She had 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren. Doris is also survived by her sister, Mrs. Charlotte Allen and husband Walter of Clayton, NC, and a brother, Mr. Charles A Paxton of Key West, Florida.
