Obituary of Dorothy Grossfeld
Dorothy Pearl Grossfeld, 86 of Apex, N.C., passed away, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Wake Med Cary, NC.
Born on July 6, 1928 in Mineville N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Herman and Rae Kronovit.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Jerry Grossfeld of Apex, NC; sons Fred Grossfeld, daughter-in-law Katherine; grandson Nathan and granddaughter Leigh of Cary; Dr. Paul Grossfeld daughter-in-law Susan and grandson Stefan of San Diego, Ca.; and daughter Brenda Grossfeld of Denver, Co as well as her grandchildren.
Dorothy volunteered for The American Heart Association in Denver, Colorado for over ten years. Dorothy loved dogs, knitting, reading, baking and most of all her children.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery, 450 State N. St. Raleigh, NC.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Dorothy's name to The Children's Heart Foundation, P.O. Box 244 Lincolnshire, IL, 60069 Attn: Mr. William Foley http://childrensheartfoundation.org, or The American Diabetes Association, 1-800-DIABBETES, http://www.diabetes.org
