Obituary of Dorothy Guy

Dorothy Player Guy, 76, of Raleigh, passed away Sunday night, December 11, 2011 at Elmcroft of Northridge.

A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Born April 3, 1935 in Bennettsville, SC, Dorothy was the daughter of the late James Player and Viola Thompson Player. She was retired from the NCDMV since 1996. In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dexter West; brothers, Jesse Hubbard and Bobby Player; and sister Maggie Player.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Michael West and wife Carol, Dr. Rodney West and wife Teresa; daughters, Linda West Mann and husband Jerry Mann, Lisa Williams and husband Conrad; grandchildren, Brandon West and wife Lindsay, Jennifer Chesson and husband Randy, Joshua and Tanner West, Lucas Owens, Catherine Anna Olivia Williams.

Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy to Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
