CLAYTON

Dorothy Mills Hicks journeyed to her eternal home on April 29 2020. Dorothy "MeMe" Hicks was born in Wake County on January 4, 1932 to Robert and Hazel Mills. She attended Cary High School in Wake County where she graduated. She married Clifton "Toby" Hicks and became a devoted wife and exceptional mother. Dorothy was an active member in her church taking part in many activities but loved teaching and training the children most. For most of her children's lives she was a Sunday School teacher, taking part as the director of vacation Bible School every summer. She loved doing crafts of all kinds and sharing them with everyone. She loved traveling in her motor home, spending time with her pets and family.

Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband Clifton"Toby" Hicks; son, Edward Hicks; granddaughter, Brittney Hicks. She is survived by her sons, Clifton Hicks, Craig (Rachael) Hicks, daughter: Brenda Lee Hicks, Edward's wife, Michell Hicks; Grandchildren, Vance (Shawna) Hicks, Brianna Riley, Leigh Hicks, Cameron Hicks Carson (Zach) Schuch ,Rachel (Brandon) Morgan, Joshua (Lindsay) McMillan, Jordan (Steven) Ninaber, Joel (Hannah) McMillan; Great Grandchildren, Tanner, Harper, Logan, Kaylee, Solomon, Smith, Leo, Zaria, Jasper.

A Graveside Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27603.

Montlawn Funeral Home and Cremations is serving the Hicks family.
