Obituary of Dorothy Wrenn

Dorothy Mann Wrenn, 89, of Raleigh, NC passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at Duke Raleigh Hospital.

She was born in Raleigh on September 7, 1923 to the late Famous Mark Mann and Margie Louise Poole. Mrs. Wrenn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Wrenn and her son, Robert G. "Bob" Wrenn.

Dot graduated from Hugh Morson High School and Hardbargers Business School both in Raleigh. She spent her life in service to her Lord through various church commitments at Cokesbury UMC and later at North Street Baptist Church. Her business and accounting talents served her well for over 30 years working at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

An avid cook and gardener, Dot gave joy to church members, friends, and family through gifts of her famous fudge and tasty chicken salad.

Dot is survived by her daughter, Teresa F. Hale and husband Matt, of Wake Forest and by her 3 grandchildren, Katherine Hale of Minneapolis, Andrew Hale of Fayetteville, and Charlotte Hale of Raleigh. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who adored her for her kind and loving spirit.

A graveside service to celebrate Dot's life will be on Tuesday morning August 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
