Douglas Beaver of Raleigh, NC/Madison, VA departed this world and joined his parents and other family members in heave n on Monday, March 7, 2022. Doug was an expert machinist and taught machining technology which he really enjoyed. With a lifelong love of aviation, he enjoyed flying on weekends for whatever excuse he could find. If he couldn't fly, a drive to the mountains was the next best thing or tak ing a drive and getting a little lost to see what he would stumble across, such as a beautiful waterfall or stopping beside the road in the countryside to star gaze. He was always ready for a good adventure. He often took on the challenge of reading as many books simultaneously as possible. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles like his dad.

Doug was born in Statesville, NC in 1962 the son of the late Fred and Barbara Beaver. Doug was married to Carol Beaver of Madison, VA, who survives him. He is also survived by his son, Ryan Beaver of Apex, NC and many cousins in Concord/Kannapolis, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
