Obituary of Duane Ely

Duane Edward Ely, 52, of Raleigh, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at his home.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

A native of Key West, FL, Duane was a Pharmacy Tech III with Walgreens in Cary and later became the manager and floral designer of the Kroger's Stores in Garner and Fuquay-Varina. He was an avid collector of Art, Clocks and various type's fauna and plant life. Duane was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Ann Williams and his brother, William A. Williams.

Duane is survived by his dear friends, Jimmy Parchment, Hope Bennett, Jana Navaro, Patrick Monk, Raven Bennett and Sarai Bennett as well as his aunt, Helen Williams and her sons, Chris, Michael, Patrick and Gregory Williams.
