Obituary

Earle R.(Bud) Webster, Jr. died at home on November 7, 2017. He was born in Bangor Maine on March 7, 1936. He attended Bangor High School where he was chosen to represent his school for one semester as foreign exchange student to Germany. In his senior year he served as class president and was named by his classmates "most polite boy" and "most likely to become "President of the United States." Upon graduation he was offered full scholarships to any college in Maine and was accepted by both Princeton and Brown Universities. He chose Brown and graduated in five years with BS degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and History. His first job was with Alcoa in NYC and he retired as Sales Manager for Blasch Precision Ceramics Co. in Albany NY. He and his wife retired to Garner N.C.

He is preceded in death by parents Earle Webster Sr., Margaret Preble Webster and by Daughter Karen Webster. He is survived by Wife of 36 years Ethel; Daughter Christine Webster, Brothers Thomas and Richard Webster, Sister Patricia Webster; Granddaughter Kyle Plouffe, Grandson Peter Selmecki; Great-grandsons Tyler Selmecki and Ryan Plouffe and Great-granddaughter Casey Plouffe.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Eagle Ridge Golf Clubhouse on Sunday, December 3 from 2-4. Donations in Bud's honor can me made to The Special Olympics.
