Edna Bryant Denton, 91, of Clayton went to heaven on Thursday, January 4, 2018. She was born August 9, 1926 in Nash County to the late William Ellis and Fannie Denton Bryant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Denton.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Montlawn Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jason Byler officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Junior Denton and wife Dottie K. and Benny L. Denton and wife Linda all of Garner, a daughter, Judy Denton Hoyle and husband C. H. of Wake Forest, three grandchildren, Dawn Dawson, Christie Hoyle and Howard Hoyle, and five great grandchildren, Amber Hoyle, Andrew Hoyle, Caleb Hoyle, Grady Dawson and Wrenn Dawson.
