Obituary of Edna Duffie

Edna Earle Duffie, 77, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Franklin Oaks Nursing Center in Louisburg. She fought a courageous battle and was a loving lady to the very end. Edna loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She dearly loved cats and dogs and took in every stray.

Surviving are her sons, James C. Moore and wife Judy of Louisburg and David Moore and wife Brenda of Youngsville; brother, Thomas "Buck" Henderson and wife Lazetta of Clinton; sister Myrtle Collins of Cliinton; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Rick, James and Dustin; Great-grandchild, Hannah Grace Mauco.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billie Duffie, her brother, Melvin Eugene Henderson, and her sister Mary (Tiny) Faison.

The family wishes to offer a special "Thank you" to the loving staff at Franklin Oaks.

A graveside service will be held at 3 pm Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Tuesday at Montlawn Funeral Home prior to the service.
