Edna Marker, 80, died at home April 24, 2021 in Cary, North Carolina. Edna believed in the power of prayer, the love of the Lord, and the music of Michael Buble and Norah Jones. She loved all types of music and could play any song on the piano by ear. Her beautiful voice rose into the sky and into the little corners of the heart. Edna attended Lillington High School and took classes at Wake Tech in Computer Science; and she worked for the State of North Carolina for over 30 years (oh her stories!). She found great comfort in reading the Bible and watching praise services on television in her beautiful, sunny apartment at Weatherstone Spring in Cary. She will be remembered for her fabulous fashion, red lipstick, colorful hats, and enduring faith - even in the very worst of times. But most of all she will be remembered for her bright light of laughter and love. She is survived by her daughter, Tonja Olive; son in law, Martin Ingram; grandson, Tucker Ingram; sister, Peggy Palmer; along with a number of nieces, nephews, and chosen family that she so dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Neilie Settle Tucker and Joseph A. Tucker, and her two sisters, Virginia Phelps and Anne Nair. Visitation will be held at Montlawn Funeral Home Tuesday, May 18 from 1-2 pm, with a memorial service to immediately follow at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating in her name to the Center for Volunteer Caregiving in Cary, NC
