Edna Currin Pepoon, 86, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008. She was born in Angier, North Carolina, July 26, 1921 daughter of the late Egbert Mitchell and Evie Sherman Currin. Edna was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and she enjoyed sewing and visiting her brothers and sisters and friends. She retired from the customer service department at the News & Observer
Surviving are daughters, Lauren Dutcher and her husband Dale, of Cary and Kim Mabry of Charlotte; granddaughter, Dianna Dutcher.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, February 7, 2008. The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from noon until 1:00 pm on Thursday.
Arrangements are by Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603 (www.montlawn.com).
