Obituary of Edward Jones

Edward Grover Jones, 69, of Raleigh, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 29, 2012 at Universal Health Care of North Raleigh.

Born October 5, 1942 in Wilson, NC, Edward was the son of the late Edward Mitchell Jones and Doris Bardin Jones. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Sullivan Hooks; and sister, Connie Jones Slate.

Edward is survived by his second wife, Sharon Lowery Jones; son, Edward Dean Jones and wife Dawn of Hobe Sound, FL; daughters, Laura Kelly Jones of Dallas, TX, Debra Lynn Houchins and husband Mike of Wilson, NC; grandchildren, Seth, Hannah, and Sarah Jones, all of Hobe Sound, FL, Zachary and Madison Houchins, both of Wilson, NC; and half-brother, William Jones of Eden, NC.

After serving his country with the United States Air Force, Edward worked as a salesman with Liberty Mutual. He was the Top Producer, winning many awards, and retired in 1996 after 30 years of dedicated service. Edward was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who will truly be missed.
