Obituary of Elfrieda Denis

Mrs. Elfrieda Kierstein Denis, 89, of Garner, died Thursday, October 15, 2009 in Snellville, GA where she had lived for the past year to be near her son.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Montlawn Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Denis was a member of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church and was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed needlepoint and embroidery. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Political Science in an era when few women attended college.

She is survived by her son, John Denis of Snellville, GA and her granddaughter, Sabrina Denis of Garner. Mrs. Denis was preceded in death by her husband, John Denis in 2006.
