Obituary of Elijah Yates

Elijah Lejon Yates died tragically on Saturday, March 12, 2011. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16th from 6-8 PM at Montlawn Funeral Home. There will be a service to celebrate his life on Thursday at 2 PM at Montlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

Elijah is survived by his parents, Johnation and Whitney Bass Yates; brother, Malachi Yates; sisters, Jailey and Kayleigh Yates; grandmother, Monica Bass; great-grandmothers, Paulette Bolling (James) and Rudenia Penix Yates; grandfathers, Michael Barham and William Yates; aunts, Nikia Pemberton (David), Melissa Locklear (Michael), Jasmine Bass, and Jeanne Shoffer; uncles, Phillip Bass, Tracey Bolling (Nona), Roderick Williams (Jeanee) and David Lewis Byrd; and numerous cousins. Elijah was predeceased by his grandmother, Sheryl Barham.

Arrangements are entrusted to Montlawn Memorial Park.
