Elizabeth Scott Bryan
Mrs. Elizabeth Scott "Peggy" Bryan, 87, of Raleigh, died Friday evening at Rex HealthCare.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Garner. Private interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
A native of Franklin, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Montgomery Maddox and Rufus Butler Scott. She attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia and retired as an accountant with the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Robert P. Bryan; children, Robert P. Bryan, Jr. and his wife, Anita of Raleigh, Elizabeth Bryan "Beth" Lewter and her husband, Jimmy of Apex, William Butler Bryan of the home, Cynthia Bryan "Cindy" Davis and her husband, Jim of Raleigh; grandchildren, Robert P. Bryan III, Melissa Bryan Kruger, Matthew Scott Bryan, Bryan Fowler and Jennifer Davis as well as 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Scott Bryan as well as two siblings.
The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Brighton Gardens of Raleigh for their love and compassionate care of their Mother during her residency.
