Obituary of Elizabeth Wilder
Elizabeth Wilder, 78, passed away unexpectedly at Rex Hospital on Friday, September 3, 2010
The family will receive friends at 10:00am Monday, September 6th at Montlawn Funeral Home. Services will be held in the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel following the visitation and a graveside service in Montlawn Memorial Park. Daughter, Rita Coats has extended visitation at her home at other times, 114 Big Branch Court, Zebulon, NC 27597.
Elizabeth was born in Comfort, NC to the late Emory and Ethel Metts on October 27, 1931. She was a member of Tuckahoe Christian Church. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was greatly loved in life and will be deeply missed.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James Wilder; daughters, Wanda Schumann, husband Robert of Raleigh, Rita Coats, husband Verlon of Zebulon, Sandra Curington, fianc Darryl Mervin of Kinston; granddaughters, Melissa Curington, Tracy Coats, Jennifer Curington, Amanda Coats, Belinda Curington; grandsons, Matthew Schumann, David Curington, Jared Schumann, Dwight Curington; great granddaughter, Alyssa Smith; brothers, Charles Metts, wife Helen of Durham, Benjamin Metts, wife Jean of Kinston, Alvin Metts, wife Evangeline of Winston-Salem, Donald "Duck" Metts, wife Shirley of Pink Hill; brother-in-law, William Newton Wilder, wife Jo Ellen of Charlotte, and numerous nephews and nieces.
