Elvis "Glenn" Jackson, 68, passed away peacefully March 9, 2021. He was born in Raleigh, NC on December 11, 1952. Glenn was the son of the late Elvis Beachum and Elizabeth Forrest Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife Kay Woodlief Jackson to whom he was married for 43 years, two sons, Glenn Jr. and Nick both of Raleigh, NC, and one sister, Linda Jackson of Garner, NC.
Glenn grew up in Raleigh and was a graduate of Enloe High School, Mt. Olive Jr College and East Carolina University. He had a wealth of knowledge gained by working in various lines of work over the last 40 years. He was employed by Square D, Harnett Central High School, Data General, Nortel, and then as a general contractor.
Glenn was a true friend and neighbor and loved to travel and spend time at the beach while boating on the Crystal Coast. Growing up in NC inspired his love of Bojangles Sweet Tea, Eastern NC BBQ and Hot Wings along with his love of his 1970 Corvette, Labradors, Gospel and BlueGrass music. He will be greatly missed by his family along with the many friends who called on his expertise many times. All his friends, and he had many, knew if you needed something built, he knew how and built it, if you needed a pig cooked for a family reunion, he knew how and cooked it, if you needed help moving, he was there.
