Obituary of Emily Brinson

Mrs. Emily Brinson went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, November 12, 2011. Mrs. Brinson was born October 19, 1922 in Mobile, Alabama, lived 52 years in Dallas, TX and most recently in Raleigh, NC. She was a loving mother, a cherished grandmother and a devoted great-grandmother.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 in the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home 30 minutes prior to the service.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne Kahlich and husband Leo; grandchildren, Emilie Quigley and husband Troy, Carrie Braswell and husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Ethan Quigley, Elianna Quigley, Annabeth Quigley and Emma Braswell. She is also survived by her sister, Anne Morgan and husband James as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Mathew D. "Pat" Brinson and her children, Penny Havel, Bobby Brinson and Judy Brinson.

Emily's family wishes to thank the staff of Abbotswood and Retirement Home Care for their compassionate care in the final months of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
