Obituary of Emma Evans
Surrounded by family and beloved pastors, Emma Lillie Narron Evans went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2010. Emma was born on September 24, 1926 in Johnston County to Roney and Sally Crocker Narron. She was the first granddaughter of Vance and Emma Narron and John Evert and Cherry Crocker. She was highly loved and dearly cherished.
She graduated from Glendale High School and from Hardbarger Business College. Emma worked for the Department of Transportation for 27 years. Upon retirement she began working for Resource for Seniors as a home health assistant.
Emma Lillie Narron Evans is survived by her two sons; Roland Dale Parrish of Cary; Donald Lee Parrish and his wife Angela Lacey-Parrish of Cary; Emma's sister, Jean Narron Rogers and her husband Reverend Marvin Rogers of Selma; sister-in-law Margie Davis Narron of Kenly; brother-in-law, Braxton Hill of Wilson; granddaughter, Jacquelyn Cartwright of Greenville and her husband Chris; grandson, Brian Parrish of Plymouth; and many devoted nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Funeral Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 in the chapel of Montlawn Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC. The interment will be held directly following the funeral services in Montlawn Memorial Park. Reverend Jerry Banks of Moore's Chapel Church and Reverend Rob Keffer of Grace Church in Cary will be presiding over the service.
