Obituary of Ernest Beavers

George Ernest "Ernie" Beavers, 65, of Selma, died Monday evening, November 16, 2009.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday in Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

A native of Chattanooga, TN, Ernie was the son of the late Ralph and Ruby Burgess Beavers. He was a United States Army veteran and worked with the U.S. Postal Service, Norfolk-Southern Railroad and later retired as a truck driver. Ernie was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Barbara Mills Beavers; step children, Cheryl Styles of Garner, Milton Styles of Newberry, FL; step grandchildren, Roy and Richard Styles; step great grandchildren, Derek and Taylor Styles; brothers and sisters, Mildred Bourff of LaFollette, TN, Betty Hargrove of Buffaloe, TX, Beverly Eversten of Cohoes, NY, Ralph David Beavers of Raleigh, James Beavers of Creedmoor, Darlene Bender of Orlando, FL and Ronald Beavers of Tampa, FL.
