Ernest Marine Garrett

Mr. Ernest Marine Garrett, 80, of Raleigh, died June 3, 2009.

Ernest was born January 8, 1929, to the late Ernest and Lillie Cathran Garrett. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Ernest enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom he loved greatly.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Montlawn Memorial Park.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife, Lois Vick Garrett, of Raleigh; son, Ernest Garrett, of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Wanda Hurst and her husband Darrell, of Raleigh, and Becky Hoover and her husband Don, of Holly Springs; grandchildren, Tyler Hurst, Jason Hoover, Paul Garrett, and Timothy Garrett; great grandchildren, Ethan and Cameron Garrett; brother, Ted Garrett, and sisters, Thelma O'Daniel, Glenda Roberts, and Jeanette McLaurin.
