Obituary of Ester Orellana

Ester Guadalupe Orellana, of Jersey City, NJ, died of cancer on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born in El Salvador on December 12, 1941. She was the daughter of Timoteo Orellana and the late Maria Celia Siguenza. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt who will be missed by all who knew her.

She moved to New York City in the 1970s and received her Bachelors from Baruch College. She then became a teacher's aid within New York Public Schools and retired after 30 years of service in 2012. She is survived by her father, Timoteo Orellana; her sisters, Marta Orellana, Rosa Lilian Khalek, Gloria E. Amaya; her brothers, Benjamin Orellana, Miguel Orellana, and all their wonderful families.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the St. Mary of Angels Chapel of St. Francis of Assisi Church, 11401 Leesville Rd., Raleigh, NC from 12:00-1:00pm followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00pm. After, there will be an Interment service at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC
