Obituary of Ethel Creel

Ethel Boyd Creel, 86, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Brian Center of Clayton.

Graveside Funeral Service will be 12 Noon Monday at Montlawn Memorial park. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon at Montlawn Funeral Home.

A native of Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late William Eugene Boyd and Celia Haskins Boyd. Mrs. Creel was retired as a bookkeeper with Jones Supply Company and was a member of the Triangle's Worshipping Church.

Mrs. Creel was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clifton Creel in 2007. She is survived by her children, Cynthia Davis and her husband George, Craig Creel and his wife Sarah; grandchildren, Amy Smith and her husband Eddie, Carson Davis and his wife Tiffany, Abby Benson and her husband Eric, and Jason Creel; great grandchildren, Justin Smith, Hayleigh Smith, Skylar Davis, Wyatt Davis, Lily Davis and Abigail Benson and a brother, James Bumgarner.

The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff of the Brian Center and Heartland Hospice for the love and compassionate care they provided to Mrs. Creel during the final two years of her life.
