GARNER
Ethel Virginia (Fritsch) Webster, 81, of Garner, NC, died March 14, 2020 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 8, 1939, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Cora and Victor Fritsch, and wife of the late Earle Webster.
She leaves behind four children, Susan (Stauffer) Steckel, Kimberly (Stauffer) Kohalmi, Deborah (Stauffer) Simon, Kenneth Stauffer Jr, six grandchildren, Eric Steckel, Dominic Simon, Madison Simon, Ashley Kohalmi, Lauren Kohalmi, Tyler Kohalmi, and her beloved sister, Florence Wittig.
Ethel valued her career as a travel agent with Frontiers International Expeditions and Safaris before retiring in 1995. Through her work and travel she experienced the untamed beauty of Costa Rica, the grassland savanna's of Mozambique, Africa and the natural wildlife of Denali Preserve, Alaska.
Ethel lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many passions and talents - playing cards, golf, travel, interior design, oil painting, ballroom dancing and acting. Most recently she performed on stage with the Garner Towne Players. Her role as "Verna" in "Ghost of a Chance" was her favorite and most notable.
Most importantly, Ethel found joy in the company of family and friends. She will be missed lovingly by all who knew her as Mom, Grandma, sister, friend.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Ethel's memory at Eagle Ridge Golf Club on Sat April 18th 2-5 pm. The Celebration of Life is tentatively scheduled, but is subject to change based on Public Health recommendations. The Webster family wishes for everyone to be safe.
Contributions to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital are appreciated, in lieu of flowers.
