Evelyn Sumner Rouse, age 93, died peacefully at Oak Hill Assistant Living  in Angier, NC on May 9, 2022.

Mrs. Rouse was the daughter of the late Cicero and Lizzie Sumner of Beulaville, NC and is survived by her three sons—Donald Wayne Rouse (Sue) of Raleigh, Robert Lloyd Rouse (Vangie) of Raleigh, and Richard Boyd Rouse (Sandra) of Ashville.  Mrs. Rouse is survived by nine grandchildren: Kelcey Hartley (Justin), Karsen McGhee(Mark), Michael Rouse (Kate); Brian Rouse (Kara), James Rouse (Betsy), Susan Taylor (Nick), Kyle Rouse (Heather), Jennifer Rouse, Lindsay Sugg (Matt), and fifteen  great grandchildren.

A private service for the family will be at Montlawn Memorial Park on May 13, 2022.  The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Athens Drive Baptist Church, 1601 Athens Drive, Raleigh, NC, 27606
