Faylene Morgan Roper, 96, of Cary, NC died peacefully in her sleep on October 10, 2025 after a long battle with dementia.  Fay was born in Bailey, NC on July 16, 1929, the middle child of five, to Maggie and Herbert Morgan.  Fay worked for the NC Department of Disability Determination for 30 years. She loved flowers, painting, writing, and her family.  Her children delighted in her divinity candy and chicken and dumplings.  She leaves to cherish fond memories four children, Dianne, Allen, Gary, and Kevin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilton Roper, and her sons Gregory Dale Roper, Timothy Lee Raper, and Danny Wilton Raper, in addition to one granddaughter Shannon Parkes.
