Ferebee Poythress Stainback went home to be with her savior, May 15th, 2021. Born in Vance county North Carolina on February 2, 1939, she graduated from Middleburg High School and King's Business College.

Ferebee's Christian faith was central in her life, serving in each church that she attended. From St Mark's United Methodist Church, to Crossroads Fellowship Church, to her current church Christ Covenant Church. She lived a life of service to her family, her state as a legislative assistance, and others as a member of her various churches and service organizations. She was an inspiration to all she met.

She is survived by her daughter Ginger Stainback Giddens (Daniel), her son Bruce Stainback (Jaime). Her grandchildren, Philip Giddens (Nicole), Angelica Giddens, Rebecca Giddens Hodnett (Brandon), Alexandria Stainback and Elijah Stainback. Her brothers, E. Braxton Poythress and Tony Poythress (Jean). Several nieces and nephews, and all of the kids she "adopted" through the years.

Preceding her in death are, her beloved husband William Stainback, her parents Philip Bruce and Magnolia Gupton Poythress, her brother C.W. Poythress, and her grandson Daniel Franklin Giddens III.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, NC.
