Flynn Edward Hudson III, 91 years old, a retired Senior Marketing Specialist and U.S. Air Force veteran, died on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at WhiteStone: A Masonic and Eastern Star Community in Greensboro, N.C.  He was a devoted Christian, active in Presbyterian churches in his early years, Methodist churches in his later years, the Kiwanis International and the Masonic Order. Flynn was a loving father, husband, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Libby Sharon (Hudson) Roeble, Flynn E. Hudson, IV, Robert W. Campbell, Jonathan D. Hudson; grandchildren, Allison G. Roeble, Elizabeth E. Roeble, Evan D. Hudson, Julia C. Hudson-Kim, Meredith F. Hudson, Barbara S. Britton and Robert S. Harrell; great grandchildren, Elizabeth C. Patton, Alexander C. Aguirre, Lyla A. Gleesing, and Ezra F. Harrell. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Joan McCoy Hayes and her husband, Thomas S. Hayes.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Denning Hudson; his parents, Flynn Edward Hudson, Jr, and Lola Alice (Croll) Hudson; and his grandson, Philip Chase Roeble.

Flynn will be entombed in the Chapel Mausoleum, next to his wife Barbara, at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, N.C. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
