Obituary of Forrest Goldston
Forrest Wesley Goldston, 61, of Raleigh, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Hospice - William Dunlap Center for Caring after a brief illness.
Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 - 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
A native of Raleigh, Forrest was born November 23, 1949, the son of the Thomas W. Goldston who survives him and the late Marie Leavitt Goldston. He was a 1968 graduate of Needham Broughton High School and received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University. He received his Juris Doctor upon graduation from the Wake Forest University School of Law. Forrest practiced law in Rockingham County for many years before returning to Raleigh where he served as a prosecuting attorney in the Secretary of State's Office. His true passion was being in the out of doors enjoying Audubon photography.
Forrest is survived by his father as well his sister, Lorie Goldston Garland of Boca Raton, FL; nieces and nephews, LCpl. Michael Wade (Meagan) of Camp LeJeune, NC, Robert Garland III and Rachel Garland, both of Boca Raton, FL.
