Frances King Harris, 85, of Kenly, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025.

Frances was born on August 17, 1939, in Henderson, North Carolina, and was the only child of the late Kenneth King and (Nettie) Elizabeth Beard. After high school, she attended Wake Technical Community College. Frances worked for Dorothea Dix Hospital and later operated a state-licensed family care home.

Helping others was truly a way of life for her.

Frances had strong religious beliefs and attended the Free Will Baptist Church in Kenly, North Carolina.

She is survived by her children: Randy (Becky), Steve (Dena), and Lisa (Steve); six grandchildren: Randy Jr., Joey, Grant, Savanna, Cody, and Ashleigh; and two great-grandchildren: Logan and Zen. She is also survived by four siblings: Jackie, Raymond, Gene, and Pat; her special cousin and lifelong friend, Janice King Jones; and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sammy G. Harris; and her siblings, Jimmy, Dee Dee, and Bonnie.
