Obituary of Frances Morgan

Frances Hairr Morgan, 85, of Raleigh, died Thursday evening, April 19, 2012 at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Carolina Pines Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

A native of Sampson County, Frances was born November 14, 1926, the daughter of William Ransom Hairr and Allie Thornton Hairr. She was retired from Dorthea Dix Hospital with 21 years of service and was a longtime active member of Carolina Pines Baptist Church.

Frances is survived by her husband, J. Hilliard Morgan; daughter, Barbara English of Clayton; son, Bill English of Fuquay-Varina; step-daughters, Cora Cone of Virginia, Jeanette Thompson of Zebulon, Dawn Lawrence of Raleigh, Gina Moody of Middlesex; sister, Carol Tharrington of Garner; grandchildren, Chad English and Heather Holland; great grandchildren, Nathan and Alexis English; seven step-grandchildren and eleven step-great grandchildren.
