Obituary of Frances Nichols

Frances House Nichols, born November 10, 1920, went to be with her Savior, her God and Best Friend on July 11, 2015 at 7:58 am. She spent her life dedicated to serving her Lord Jesus Christ and her children. She is and always will be adored by her children. She retired from Hudson Belk after 30 years of service. She was a faithful member and Sunday school teacher at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Noble Road in Raleigh, NC.

Surviving are her children, Fran Ford of Colorado Springs, CO, Kay Ogden and husband Noah of Visalia, CA, Sammie Poole and husband Chuck of Angier, NC, Mary Sanford and husband Bill of Fuquay Varina, NC, Daniel Nichols and wife Wendy of Raleigh, NC and Dawn Alligood and husband Don of Clayton, NC; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Homer Nichols, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday at Montlawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30-8:30 pm Tuesday. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.montlawn.com
