Frances H. Parrish 88 of Morningside of Raleigh passed away on December 31, 2022.
Frances was born on August 28, 1934 in Zebulon, NC to Bernard B. Parrish and Virginia Howard Parrish.
Frances enjoyed her many cousins and the Howard family reunion held each October at the Howard home place near High Falls, NC. She enjoyed traveling, including to Arizona with her cousins. Having won a car on the write in verson of "The Price Is Right", she appeared in person on the show and won a cruise. Frances enjoyed people and was always fun to be with. She especially enjoyed going to the beach.
During her working career Frances worked in the law office for attorneys in Sanford and Raleigh. When Robert Morgan was elected Attorney General of NC, Frances accepted a position of secretery to the Attorney General. She served in that capacity for other Attorney Generals after Robert Morgan was elected to the US Senate. When Robert Morgan returned from Washington he accepted the position as Director of the State Bureau of Investigation at which time Frances transferred to the SBI and again served as secretery to Director Morgan. She continued in this position through the administration of other Directors until her retirement. Following retirement Frances continued working with the SBI and filing in as needed and on special projects fo ten years.
Frances was preceeded in death by her mother, father, her brother Bobby Parrish and many aunts and uncles. Frances is survived by many cousins.
Frances's funeral service will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh on January 7, at 1:00 pm.
