Obituary of Frances Shook

Frances "Nannie" Carolyn Savage Shook, 88, of Raleigh, passed away Friday morning, July 24, 2015 at Brookshire Nursing Center.

Born November 1, 1926 in Wake County, NC, she was the daughter of the late R.A. Savage and Mattie A. Culberson Savage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 19 years, William Shook; daughter, Deborah Stallings; and brother, Russell Savage.

Frances was survived by her grandchildren, Chris Stallings and his fianc Madi Gatherer, and William Stallings; Great-Grandchild, Alexandria Stallings; and brother, Melvin Savage.

Frances enjoyed living a great long life enjoyed traveling to different countries, gardening, spending time at the beach and especially her Chihuahua, Diesel. Lovingly called "Nannie" by her grandchildren, they would enjoy staying at her house anytime as she was very caring and supportive. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The Family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am prior to the service at Montlawn Funeral Home.
