Frank Mears was born in Accomack County, Virginia on January 17th, 1937 to the late Harry Mears and the late Carrie Franklin. Frank departed this life on July 11th, 2023.

Frank attended and graduated from Chase City High School in Virginia. After High School Frank enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp where he became a Military Police Officer. Several years later he switched to the U.S. Airforce and retired with a total of 23 years in our armed services. Frank then started a career in the automobile business as a salesman at Helmold Ford of Cary. He then moved to Capital Ford of Raleigh where he retired as a sales manager after 13 years there.

Frank enjoyed working on cars, rebuilding lawn mowers and computers, loved to watch old westerns and Nascar races, favorite food a big ribeye steak. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his dogs.

He leaves behind his wife; Janice Mears; sons Dean Mears and Marty Mears; daughter Sophia Mears; daughter-in-law Leah Mears; two grand-children Amanda and Kyle Mears; and great-granddaughter Jackie Mears.
