Obituary of Frank Taylor

On April 15th, 2012, Frank Warren Taylor, 80 years old, went home to be with his Saviour. Frank was born on April 14th, 1932 in Iredell County, N.C., son of Minnie Warren Clendenin and Frank Taylor. Frank attended the local high school in Statesville, N.C., Cool Springs, where he joined the National Guard. In 1950, Frank's unit was sent to Korea where he was part of the 105th Combat Engineers, 30th Infantry and honorably discharged in 1952. Frank graduated from NCSU with a mechanical engineering degree and accumulated an impressive career in design, manufacturing and quality assurance including retiring from Progress Energy. Frank was a member of the National and N.C. Society of professional engineers. Frank enjoyed wood working, being active in church and international travel with his wife of 56 years, Jeannine.

Frank is survived by his wife, Jeannine Kingry Taylor, his daughter Sherrie Lynn Primm and husband Mike Primm of Cary; his son F. Warren Taylor, wife Donna, daughters Nadya and Sasha of Longmont, Colorado, son Zak of Virginia; son Joseph Taylor, wife Wang Yen and son Devan of Myrtle Beach S.C.; brother Barry Clendenin and wife Margaret of Herndon Virginia; and brother Bill Taylor, wife Genoa of Statesville, N.C.

A visitation beginning at 10:00 am and funeral service at 11:00 am will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 1111 Chatham St. Cary, N.C. on Friday 20th followed by a burial with military honors at Montlawn Funeral Home.
